BEAR FESTIVAL DAYS IN STEWART
The week after the August long weekend was Bear Festival Days in Stewart. Here are some 2010 pictures.

In 2010 Angie and friend Mija went to Stewart to paint and enjoy the Stewart Bear Festival. STEWART IS A PARADISE FOR ARTISTS! Over the years artists have came from around the province, Penticton, Stewart, Prince Rupert, Smithers and New Zealand have joined local Stewart artists. We usually have a great week painting around Stewart, in Hyder Alaska, and at the Salmon Glacier and we often see lots of bears. Artists may contact Angie if they want to paint or one of the festival organizor by e-mail for future Bear Festival information, tables or event tickets or if they wish to participate in the Artists' Market that is held in conjunction with the Festival. Angie had her works on display and every year organizes a children's painting table. All enjoyed displays by several artists, authors, carvers, the bear program, crafters, a puppet show and the musical entertainment as well as breakfasts, lunches, and dinners and in 2010 the opening of the amazing Bear Visitor Centre and Museum--what a highlight. On Sunday Angie led a free plein air paint out at the pavilion. Artists wishing to join Angie to paint in Stewart in the future should contact Angie in Canada at 250 809-7932 or by e-mail.
