Canadian artist Angela Roth McIntosh is the creator of WorldArtTours.net.  Her dream is that it will become a network of art, artists, galleries, retreats, and creative projects around the world.  She is the 2010 Meadowlark Festival artist and has an exhibit of works at the Penticton Art Gallery until mid June.  She has also organized an exhibit for the seniors group at Sandbridge that she volunteers with at Leir House until mid June as well.

Angie started off training in medicine but when exposed to painting she found her true calling in life.  She took workshops with local artists and traveled to China to study with artists at the Central Institute of Fine Arts in Beijing.  She found inspiration and knowledge in workshops with Zoltan Szabo, Carol Orr, Tom Lynch,  Nigel Szeto, and David Armstrong.

She has journeyed the world to paint in France, China, Mexico, Hawaii, and the North.  She has organized artists painting workshops in Mexico and China.  She set up an Artists in the North artists retreat in Stewart, B.C., just minutes from Alaska, having found inspiration in the glaciers, mountains, and bears of northern Canada.

McIntosh has her studio and gallery in Penticton.  Her work is available there as well as at Halcyon Hotsprings Resort, The George Little Gallery in Terrace, and HarbourLight Store in Stewart.  She also has her own line of artists notecards.

McIntosh loves exploring the scenery of the world and sharing it with others through her work and recently her newly created art retreat in northern BC.  McIntosh loves to paint on location where ever she goes and last year in Stewart and this spring in the South Okanagan during the Meadowlark Festival.

McIntosh has found that often the greatest joy she has had in her life has come from teaching young and old alike and to that end is working to inspire others around the world to follow suit through the Artists in ouR Town project of her website, www.WorldArtTours.net.
