Angie's Mobile Studio
Angie's
22 foot Elite
|
Angie has always dreamed of having a mobile painting studio. In 2004 she found this fantastic1988 -22 foot Elite. It is perfect for painting. It has a wonderful large picture window on both sides and back so that she can see the view and paint in any weather. She even has room for friends to come and paint with her. In April 2004, artist and Lloyd Gallery owner Nel Witteman journeyed with her to paint at Halcyon Hotsprings near Nakusp in the Kootenays of British Columbia. Angie has had the paintings she did there on display at the hotsprings for the year. Later in the summer Angie was accompanied by friend Frieda Coenraad and later also Mija Dicken as they went to Princeton and Salmon Arm to paint. The motorhome is fantastic. Not only are they sheltered and can paint wonderful storms in the dry security of the vehicle, they can make a quick cup of hot tea, eat a superb meal, and even campout. What a wonderful way to paint the world! Angie has made alot of use of the motorhome and can credit many of her recent local landscape paintings to the luxury of having a mobile painting studio. She thinks that every artist should have one! |
