From SuzhouGuilin is the most beautiful area of China with its amazing karst mountains and caves, rivers, parks, and gardens.  I stayed right near Fubo Mountain Park and painted from my balcony .  I had a wonderful view of people doing their morning excercise along the river and hiked to the top of Fubo Mountain.  It truly was magical. My favorite town to visit in the area is Yangshou and a visit to the Crown Cave in Misty Village along the Li River halfway between Guilin and Yangshou is a must.
